People will say "it's just a dog." They're wrong. Your Pomeranian was your companion, your routine, your family. The grief is real and you're allowed to feel it fully.
There's no timeline for getting over it.
Some people bounce back in weeks. Others take months or years. Both are normal. Don't let anyone rush you through grief or tell you it's time to move on.
You'll feel guilty about random things.
Second-guessing decisions, wishing you'd done more, feeling bad about being happy—it's all part of it. The guilt doesn't mean you did anything wrong. It just means you cared.
