Hi I'm Wendy and this is my pretty Pomeranian, Sash
As a proud owner of a Pomeranian and an expert on the breed, I’m excited to share my knowledge and offer tips and advice to help you care for your own Pomeranian and ensure it too leads a happy, healthy life.
Pretty Pomeranian - My journey with dogs
Hi, I’m Wendy, the owner, and creator of the Pretty Pomeranian website. Unlike automated blog articles, I am a real person with a genuine passion for dogs and their welfare. Let me share a bit about myself and why I developed this website.
My Background & Experience:
I have been captivated by dogs throughout my entire life, dedicating nearly 15 years to raising and caring for them. My first dog was a delightful Pomeranian named Pom Pom. This early experience ignited a deep love and understanding of dogs. By personally raising and training them, I have gained valuable hands-on expertise that I now apply to every new pup I bring up.
Whether you’re seeking guidance on training your own dog or simply desire insights from someone with practical experience, I hope you’ll find immense value in the knowledge I’ve acquired.
Why I started the website about Pomeranians
Pomeranians hold a special place in my heart as they are my personal favorites. Throughout my family’s journey, we have always had at least one Pomeranian as a beloved member of our household.
During my younger years, our family had a single dog, a wonderful Pomeranian. Fast forward to today, and my grown children have become dog owners themselves, each with their own packs. Among their dog family are two Pomeranians (one of which is a beautiful white color), a Fox Terrier, and a Shih Tzu, as well as a mix of rescue dogs they have welcomed into their lives over the years.
Loving and caring for a new puppy or dog is akin to being a parent. It requires patience, practice, research, energy, and, most importantly, an abundance of love. Taking care of their needs, such as providing food, also entails financial responsibilities. Furthermore, it’s crucial to always exercise common sense when interacting with these animals.
Over the past few decades, I have immersed myself in the world of dogs, working with various breeds and sizes. From training professionals to tending to breeds with specific requirements, my experience can guide you through every stage of your pup’s life, from puppyhood to adulthood.
I understand the dynamics that come into play when a small dog grows up -or even when a family expands to include multiple other dogs. Communication between them becomes essential as they transition into adolescence and eventually into their golden years.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions you may have about your Pomeranian. I’m here to help!
My personal research & the resources I’ve used
When it comes to writing articles on this site, I understand the importance of covering topics such as health, breed information, and statistics. To provide accurate and up-to-date information about dogs, I am committed to offering valuable content to you.
My extensive research has provided me with a wealth of knowledge about dogs. I regularly delve into professional resources, including books and articles from reputable organizations like the American Veterinary Association, to stay informed about animal care. Additionally, I consult regulatory bodies such as the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) to ensure the safety of my pup’s food.
While I utilize a range of resources, statistics, and charts when compiling articles, here are a few of my favorite sources:

While some days may be more eventful than others, they all contribute to a string of memories that shape who we are.
In my free time, I cherish moments spent with my loved ones, including taking care of our furry friends and cats. I have a diverse taste in books and enjoy reading a wide range of genres. Additionally, I find pleasure in going out on the town or simply relaxing while watching a good movie.
I must confess that one thing that never fails to bring me joy is indulging in chocolate chip cookies.
