Event & Party Tips That Work

Keep parties short. Dogs get overstimulated fast. An hour is plenty. Any longer and someone's Pom will have a meltdown, start a fight, or pee on something.
Have a separate area for overwhelmed dogs. Not every Pom loves chaos. Set up a quiet room where stressed dogs can decompress away from the party without missing everything.
Skip the human food. Your friends will want to share their food with the dogs. Have dog-safe treats ready so people stop feeding them things that'll make them sick.
Meetups can go wrong fast. Not all Poms get along. Keep dogs on leashes until you know they're friendly. One aggressive dog ruins the whole event for everyone.
Costumes are for the humans, not the dogs. If your Pom hates wearing stuff, don't force it. Halloween should be fun, not stressful. A bandana counts as a costume if that's all they'll tolerate.
Take lots of photos but also just enjoy it. Yes, get the Instagram shots. But also put your phone down and actually experience the party. Your dog won't remember it, but you will.
